Sundays are Hard Work
After realizing I don’t have my Nuke Engineering class tomorrow, I figured I’d take a mental break from the mind-blowing concepts of that textbook and write a little bit.
First off, I grew up being a math and science kid. So I feel a bit inadequate believing that protons, neutrons, and electrons (and how could I forget neutrinos) were as small as things got in the atomic world. I must commend this textbook for amazing me in the first chapter, because I found out about quarks and gluons, and a few other atomic particles that have to do with keeping protons and electrons together. [Not that any non-nerd should care...]
So, I’m getting back into my poetry. A good friend and fraternity brother of mine gave me a topic to go off of, and I must say, I approve of what I’ve made of it so far. I just hate it takes me so long to write poetry and spoken word, and I seem to have very little time to do so. Anyway, stay tuned, I’m going to post a little recital of it on YouTube when I finish it, and I think I’ll have a chance to perform it as well
[Stepping out of that comfort zone]
I downloaded the TweetDeck application for my desktop today. Which reminds me, where is the Angel Developer on the TweetDeck staff that will make it easy to manage followers/followees (protected profiles included) via TweetDeck? Anyway, something good came out of it. I ran across the 12seconds service, and instantly created an account. I like the idea of quick video blurbs just as much as I like the idea of quick text blurbs. Check me out soon.
I spent almost 3 hours today before my chapter meeting putting myself through iPhone Developer Orientation via the introductory videos from the iPhone Developer Center. I invested in a refurbished MacBook to develop iPhone applications on this past week, and I’m trying to pump out a $0.99 cent wonder within the next couple months. Stay tuned on that one as well.
Chapter meeting, more chapter work, student and entrepreneurial studying, and my room still isn’t clean :-/ However, my day is all the more better knowing my fraternity’s chapter is poised to do great things this year, as am I as an individual. In the traditional sense of Sunday, I have to praise God for the things he’s done in my life.
Last thought, I spurt out randomness on this blog, but I don’t want it to stay that way. Eventually I’ll specialize on some subject matter, I just don’t know what that is yet. If you want to help me get there, comment on these posts or hit me up at bsgoins@gmail.com, and let me know when you like something that I write about. That’ll help me narrow it down in the future.
Signing off. Stay positive, people.
